Kerryn Powell, The Network Catalyst -Conversation & Connection Strategist | Speaker, Facilitator & Community-Builder
I'm Kerryn Powell — and I help people turn conversations into something that matters.
We may have already crossed paths. I founded Your Time Matters Business Community back in 2013, and over more than a decade have supported and guided thousands of men and women in business to find the connections and opportunities to grow — and to grow themselves in the process.
As a conversation and connection strategist, facilitator and community-building catalyst, I'm fascinated by people. I've spent decades watching what happens when the right conversation finally occurs.
When someone finds their voice. When they make the connection they'd been missing. When they realise the opportunity was right there — they just needed a different kind of conversation to see it.
Those are the moments I work toward.
Conversations that build trust. Open perspective. Strengthen relationships. And change what becomes possible.
MY STORY — WHERE THIS COMES FROM
From life's twists and turns to meaningful connection
Growing up, I watched my parents run a small business. They worked hard — but they often lacked the network and support they needed to navigate the challenges they faced. Their experience taught me early the value of having the right people around you.
Later, I had to carve out my own path. I experienced loneliness, uncertainty, and self-doubt — the kind that's more common in life and business than most people admit. Those moments taught me resilience, and deepened my understanding of just how much a single conversation can change.
Over the years I've worn many hats — teacher, event organiser, business owner, relocation manager, facilitator. Each chapter connected me with diverse people and perspectives, and showed me again and again that relationships are at the heart of how we navigate challenges, achieve goals, and build a life that means something.
One of the most profound lessons I've carried came from attending over fifty funerals. In every eulogy, it was never wealth or achievements that stood out — it was the relationships that person had built, and the impact they'd had on others. That shaped something I return to constantly: life is about making meaningful connections, creating a ripple effect, and leaving a legacy that matters.
That experience is why I do what I do.
What I believe
To me, connection isn't about performance.
We connect through shared interests, curiosity, real life and genuine conversation.
And when those connections are intentional — when they're given the time and attention they deserve — trust is built and transformation begins.
If you're navigating change, growing something meaningful, or simply wanting to connect more deeply and purposefully — you don't have to do it alone.
Why The Network Catalyst
A catalyst in chemistry doesn't force a reaction. It changes the conditions so the right one can happen naturally.
That's how I see my work.
I see the world like a colourful kaleidoscope — where every conversation acts as a catalyst, shifting perspective, revealing new patterns, and opening unexpected pathways. In a room full of people, I don't just see a crowd. I see the conversations that haven't happened yet. The connections that haven't been made. The opportunities that haven't been named.
After years of building communities and facilitating rooms, I've developed an eye for the potential in relationships that neither person can quite see yet. I notice what's not being said. I ask the question that shifts the dynamic. I create the conditions so the right conversations — and relationships — can form naturally.
We don't live, learn or grow through one network alone. Our lives are shaped by many networks — personal, professional, community, family, and the often unseen networks of support, influence, belonging and opportunity around us.
When we learn to engage more meaningfully across those networks, new pathways open and opportunities are unlocked.
How I Can Support You
Whether you're an individual professional, a leadership team, or a community builder, my role is to help you see conversations differently — not as something to perform or push through, but as a way to explore ideas, excite fresh thinking, and expand what feels possible.
I create the conditions for conversations that provide:
Clarity — you recognise the opportunities already within reach
Confidence — you trust your voice and show up with intention
Impact — your conversations begin to lead somewhere meaningful
Sometimes that support comes through a workshop, a facilitated session, or a mentoring conversation. Sometimes it comes through community. Always, it comes in a way that aligns with who you are and what matters to you.
“To me, connection isn’t about business cards or polished pitches.
It’s about truth, real life, and being willing to listen — to ourselves and to each other.
When people feel safe to be themselves, when they are genuinely heard, trust is built and transformation begins.

Let’s Start a Conversation
If you're ready to approach conversations differently — let's talk.
No pressure. Just a conversation.
