Kerryn Powell, The Network Catalyst

My story - where this comes from.

“I make conversations matter." – Kerryn Powell

Meaningful conversations are how you unlock opportunities, gain fresh perspectives, build bridges and connect dots.

I have always worked towards, supporting and helping others to boost their confidence and and find the opportunities and pathways they are looking for.

Since 2013, I have helped thousands of professional people find connections and opportunities to grow themselves and their business through my business community Your Time Matters , and find the connection that’s been missing, and realise the opportunity needed is hidden in a different kind of conversation.

When you change your conversation, you can build trust, open perspectives, strengthen relationships, and change what becomes possible.

From life's twists and turns I see the world as a kaleidoscope where we can access meaningful connection

Growing up, I watched my parents run a small business. They worked hard but often lacked the network and support to navigate the challenges they faced. Their experience taught me the value of having the right people around you.

Since founding Your Time Matters in 2013, I've helped thousands of professionals in various ways to gain clarity & confidence by creating conversations where trusted relationships form & thinking expands.

That instinct didn't start with Your Time Matters.

Eight years in travel, escorting groups, taught me to read unfamiliar rooms quickly. Founding a community market, and years of teaching, sharpened my skills further. A stint as a mystery shopper taught me to notice what others miss. Relocating international families confirmed: networking is an essential life skill.

What I discovered is that most people don't struggle because they lack ability. They struggle because they're unsure how to start a conversation, what to say, and how to recognise the opportunities hidden within.

In a room full of people, I don't see a crowd. I see a kaleidoscope: a shifting pattern of conversations, connections, and possibilities not yet named.

Connection starts through deeper, meaningful conversation.

And as hard as it may be to believe, I have attended over 50 funerals. What I have come to realise is that our relationships are at the heart of how we impact those around us. It has never been wealth or achievements that have stood out in the eulogies.

That is why I do what I do.

What I believe

To me, connection isn't about performance.

We connect through shared interests, curiosity, real life and genuine conversation.

And when those connections are intentional and given the time and attention they deserve, trust is built and transformation begins.

If you're navigating change, growing something meaningful, or simply wanting to connect more deeply and purposefully, I can help. You don't have to do it alone.

Why The Network Catalyst

A catalyst in chemistry doesn't force a reaction. It changes the conditions so the right atomic connection can happen.

Likewise, every conversation can be a catalyst, shifting perspective, revealing new patterns, and opening unexpected pathways.

In a room full of people, I don't just see a crowd. I see the conversations that haven't happened yet.

The connections that haven't been made.

The opportunities that haven't been named.

So, I ask the question that shifts the dynamic.

I create the conditions so the right conversations and relationships form naturally.

How I Support You

Whether you're an individual professional, a leadership team, or a community builder, my role is to help you see conversations differently. Not as something to perform or push through, but as a way to explore ideas, excite fresh thinking, and expand what feels possible.

I create the conditions needed by organisations and individuals to breakdown barriers, build confidence and turn everyday conversations into real connection and opportunity. Conversations that provide:

  • Clarity. You recognise the opportunities already within reach.

  • Confidence. You trust your voice and show up with intention.

  • Impact. Your conversations begin to lead somewhere meaningful.

That support may be a workshop, a facilitated session, mentoring, or community. Whichever it is, I always make sure it aligns with who you are and what matters to you.

Let’s Start a Conversation

If you're ready to approach conversations differently - let's talk.

No pressure. Just a conversation.
