The Network Catalyst

Kerryn Powell, The Network Catalyst can guide and support you to grow your busienss and community .

I'm Kerryn Powell — and I help people turn conversations into something that matters.

As a conversation and connection strategist, facilitator and community-building catalyst who is fascinated by people, I've spent more than a decade watching what happens when the right conversation finally occurs.

When someone finds their voice. When they make the connection they'd been missing. When they realise the opportunity was right there — they just needed a different kind of conversation to see it.

Those are magical moments.

Conversations that build trust. Open perspective. Strengthen relationships. And change what becomes possible.

That's what the right conversation does. It helps you explore new thinking, excite fresh possibilities, and expand what you believed was within reach.

I work with changemakers, business owners, leaders and community builders who sense there's more possible — even if they can't yet see the pathway. Together, you can:

Why The Network Catalyst

A catalyst in chemistry doesn't force a reaction. It changes the conditions so the right one can happen naturally.

That's how I see my work.

I see the world like a colourful kaleidoscope — where every conversation acts as a catalyst, shifting perspective, revealing new patterns, and opening unexpected pathways. In a room full of people, I don't just see a crowd. I see the conversations that haven't happened yet. The connections that haven't been made. The opportunities that haven't been named.

After years of building communities and facilitating rooms, I've developed an eye for the potential in relationships that neither person can quite see yet. I notice what's not being said. I ask the question that shifts the dynamic. I create the conditions so the right conversations — and relationships — can form naturally.

We don't live, learn or grow through one network alone. Our lives are shaped by many networks — personal, professional, community, family, and the often unseen networks of support, influence, belonging and opportunity around us.

When we learn to engage more meaningfully across those networks, new pathways open and opportunities are unlocked.

My Story: From Life’s Challenges to Meaningful Connection

Growing up, I watched my parents run a small business — working hard, but often without the network and support they needed to navigate the challenges that came their way. That experience stayed with me. It shaped my understanding of how much the people around us — and the quality of our conversations with them — determine what becomes possible.

Over the years I've worn many hats. Teacher. Event organiser. Business owner. Relocation manager. Facilitator. Each chapter connected me with different people, different perspectives, and different kinds of conversations. What I kept seeing, again and again, was the same thing:

Relationships are how we navigate life. Connection is how we grow.

One of the most profound lessons I've carried came from attending over fifty funerals. In every eulogy, it wasn't wealth or achievements that stood out. It was the relationships that person had built and the impact they'd had on the people around them.

Life is about the connections we make, the conversations we have, and the ripple effect we create.

That realisation is why I originally created Your Time Matters — because your time, and who you spend it with, is the most valuable thing you have. It's also why I became The Network Catalyst. Not just to bring people together, but to create the conditions for conversations that actually mean something.

I've also experienced my own moments of uncertainty — times when I lacked direction or didn't know which way to turn. And I know the shift that happens when the right conversation opens a door you didn't even know was there.

That experience is why I do this work. And it's why I show up the way I do.

I don't rush people or prescribe answers. I listen deeply. I ask the questions that open new pathways. And I create the space for honest, meaningful conversations — because that's where real change begins.

What I believe

To me, connection isn't about performance.

We connect through shared interests, curiosity, real life and genuine conversation.

And when those connections are intentional , and given the time and attention they deserve — trust is built and transformation begins.

If you're navigating change, growing something meaningful, or simply wanting to connect more deeply and purposefully — you don't have to do it alone.

How I Can Support You

Whether you're an individual professional, a leadership team or a community builder, my role is to help you see conversations differently — not as something to perform or push through, but as a way to explore ideas, ecite fresh thinking , and expand ehat feels possible.

I create the conditions for conversations that provide:

▸     Clarity — you recognise the opportunities already within reach

▸     Confidence — you trust your voice and show up with intention

▸     Impact — your conversations begin to lead somewhere meaningful

Sometimes that support comes through a workshop, a facilitated session, or a mentoring conversation. Sometimes it comes through community. Always, it comes in a way that aligns with who you are and what matters to you.

Let’s Start a Conversation

Because one conversation really can change everything.

It might help you explore something you’ve been sitting with. It might excite a possibility you hadn’t considered. It might expand what you thought was within reach.

If something here resonates , that is usually a good place to begin
